Without Bos taurus or commonly referred to as cattle much of our everyday lives would be changed, not just for the farmers but for the economy as a whole. Which makes each day at
Cow Appreciation Day!
Take dairy farming for example:
Our dairies create jobs for people who grow and ship feed for our cows, as well as forveterinarians, insurance agents, accountants, bankers, and others.Dairy farmers purchase machinery, trucks, fuel, and more from local companies, whichgenerates jobs and income.After milk leaves our farms, it travels by truck to a processor, where people make cheese,ice cream, butter, yogurt, and other dairy products.Truckers, packaging manufacturers and food marketers complete the cycle bytransporting and marketing the dairy products everyone loves. This means jobs in thetransportation, distribution and retailer grocer industries.

While we at FarmersOnly see the need to celebrate these glorious animals every day, one day in particular has caught on across the nation as the official Cow Appreciation Day.
Friday, July 11th, 2014 is Cow Appreciation Day.
A day started by Chick-fil-A, a quick service food chain who serves, as you could guess, chicken. A clever marketing tool that would bring thousands flocking…err charging to their doors in order to get their hands on some free grub. Ah, but the catch, you must be dressed from head to toe in an ‘udder-ly’ amazing cow costume.
So there you have it, dress like a cow on Cow Appreciation Day and get free chicken from Chick-fil-A.
