I had been divorced for two years, and had dated a few guys I met on other dating sites. They were okay, but not earth shatteringly awesome. A good friend suggested that I step out of usual spaces and try FarmersOnly. I figured, why not? Maybe an intellectual man's man with an open heart and mind was hiding in plain site. Meanwhile, Matt had just gotten out of a painful breakup and had figured he might find a tolerably decent woman on Farmer's Only. Neither of us looked any further after less than a month on the site. We have been together for 17 months and are getting married this fall. Plus, we get a laugh whenever folks ask how we met! Thank you for making it possible for us to find each other.
What towns are y'all from?I live in Moultrie, Georgia and Matt lives near Greenville, South Carolina
What did you do on your first date?I drove up to South Carolina (about a six hour trip) after work so I arrived around 1:30 a.m. to meet the love of my life. We spent the weekend talking, cooking together, and tending to the cats, rabbits, dog, and goats. Our first date weekend just confirmed what both of us felt as we talked for the previous month. This was it.
When did you know that he was the one?I knew he was the one because nothing was awkward for either of us, we even worked well in the kitchen together.
What is your favorite thing about him?My favorite thing about him is a tie between his intellect and his compassionate heart.
