Born and raised on a cattle ranch, Katie always knew that she wanted to marry the “cowboy type”, but was having a hard time finding what she was looking for in her local community.
She decided to join FarmersOnly, with expectations set low.
But then she met Dallyn.
“On our first date he drove 5 ½ hours to come meet me. We went out bowling with some of my friends and he stayed the entire weekend,” she recalls. “I knew he was the one as soon as he pulled up in that diesel Ford pickup. I laid eyes on him and knew I wanted to spend forever with him!”
After getting to know each other better, she fell in love with his level-headedness, and Dallyn fell in love with her gourmet home cooked meals.
In June of 2020, on their fourth anniversary and amidst a pandemic, they tied the knot.
“People kept telling us to cancel and do it another time, but we pushed through,” Katie shares. “I said it doesn’t matter if there can be 10 of us or 100 of us. I want to marry him on our 4 year anniversary as that is a special day for us. He felt the same way.”
They had a beautiful western wedding at a local park, with a reception held out in the country. Despite the struggles the pandemic brought, they had the “best day ever”, surrounded by friends and family.
“I joined FarmersOnly with minimal expectations, and met the love of my life!”
